DARE Needs Your Help

 

 

The Dictionary of American Regional English is supported financially by the National Endowment for the Humanities (an independent federal agency*), the National Science Foundation**, private foundations, and many generous individuals.With the preparation of our audio materials, new pilot survey, and future updates to Digital DARE, we still need your help in making sure DARE continues On Beyond Z!  All contributions are greatly appreciated.

Please make your check out to DARE/UW Foundation or to Frederic G. Cassidy DARE Fund. The gifts are deposited in Milwaukee but then credited to the appropriate account by the financial folks at the UW Foundation. (One reminder: this address is only for gifts. Other types of correspondence should not be sent to this address.)

Contributions can also be charged to a major credit card. To make a gift to DARE online, simply click on DARE Fund or  Frederic G. Cassidy DARE Fund and follow the directions.

Board of Visitors

DARE's Board of Visitors is made up of people who share a belief in the value of the project and a strong desire to see it completed. They meet twice a year at locations around the country to discuss development ideas and the editorial progress being made on the Dictionary.
